Happy Lunar New Year!
Big shout out to my good friend, Jeremy, and his wife, Paula on their big day today! I wish you both a happy marriage! As for the rest of you, enjoy the invitation cover I made for them :D
So this was an interesting project I've never done before. Our dear friend, Jet, is getting married and for his bachelor's party, we made him his very own Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Within the character design, I had to combine Jet's 3 top favorite fandoms: Star Wars, Pokemon and Naruto.

Here's Chibi Hunk from Voltron Legendary Defender. I did Pidge last month and I'm thinking of making the rest of the Paladins as an acrylic key chain set. Please like and comment if you would like to see these as keychains and which Paladin you would like to see next!

A personal project from way years back. Decided to take another shot at it. Title in Japanese is "Naoki no namida" or "Naoki's Tears."
And after 4 late nighters, here is "Beautiful Killers 001." This will be series of Illustrations containing cute anime girls with deadly guns. I'm thinking of making this design into stickers or maybe even a t-shirt. Dont expect the next one to come be any time soon. Doing line art on adobe illustrator can be very tedious.
Today my good friends, Rahul Sawant and Shaily Shah, are getting married. Unfortunately the wedding is in India and I don't have the funds to travel. To make it up, I decided to illustrate them a gift.
The newly-wed couple are big fans of fantasy RPGs. When they were first dating, they met in school but their hometowns were quite far from each other. To make up the distance, the two would do on dates by playing "Ragnarok" online. So as a tribute to their first day as a married couple, I illustrated them as their avatars in the game. Congratulations to the warrior and the high priestess on their big day! Your journey has gone so far, but it's only just begun.
Last fall I took a class on Sacred Geometry. Our final assignment was to measure our head, hand and feet, then determine what sacred geometrical format it was closest related to. From there, we pick one of those formats and created a piece of artwork that reflects ourselves personally.
I decided to go with my right hand in relaxed state which measured into a root 2 rectangle. Not only using the root 2 rectangle as the format for this illustration, but I also used it as the story behind it. The basic anatomy of a root 2 rectangle is as follows: 2 identical triangles form a square, the diagonal of that square forms the length of that rectangle. From that anatomy, I made a love story. 2 people come together and form a stable whole but the dynamic of the 2 is what helps them prosper into something beautiful. With all that groundwork done, all I needed was a memory that suited it. Since this was my last semester before graduating, I had the perfect memory for this last illustration as a student.
This is a memory during my very first semester in art school. This is also a memory of when my girlfriend and I were first dating. Back when we were freshmen in art school we got out of class around the same time and started hanging out quite a bit. One place we went to a lot was the Westfield Dome in San Francisco. Before they had the giant cafe, the dome was an empty quiet space filled with lounge chairs, perfect place to relax after a 6 hour class. Her an I would usually go there, have a late lunch, relax. We mostly about our dreams and aspirations of being a great artist. It was then we got closer and after 4 years, were still together and we are still helping each other becoming better artists.
Her and I are place on the ground of reality. The architecture itself forms the story. The 2 triangles are represented as the the 2 sets of 3 pillars. Together they form a secret square shape that reaches out into the sky. The Dome above represents the prosperity of the two. Within the dome, the major sections going toward the center are divided by golden section relations.
I've been learning how to make digital books for tablets recently, so I figured I'd show you a preview of my current project. Inspired by the work I did for "Summer Homestay", this one is called "Let's Speak Japanese." It is an educational book that teaches children and adults basic Japanese letters and phrases.
Each page has a different lesson and its own unique way of interacting with it. For example, in my "Greetings & Phrases" page, you cn go through the entire day of phrases and see how and when they are used. Some you can scroll through certain areas and in others you can tap different buttons.
Hopefully once I get most of the artwork done, I would like to find a voice actor or at least someone fluent in both English and Japanese to record for sound. That way, when you tap on letters or phrases, it can pronounce it for you. Plus it would bring the "speaking" aspect in "Let's Speak Japanese" to justice. If you have any comments, constructive adviceor better yet if you know anyone who can voice act for me, feel free to contact me.
